HiPP 1 PUR is HiPP’s premium organic infant formula crafted for babies from birth up to 6 months who require a slightly more satiating meal. Like the rest of the PUR line, it features high-quality organic whole milk fat, providing a natural energy source and a delicious, creamy flavor that babies love. A defining characteristic of this formula is that it is formulated entirely without palm oil, opting instead for a balanced blend of organic milk fat and vegetable oils to support healthy growth and digestion.
This HiPP 1 PUR formula is ideal as a standalone nutritional source or as a supplement to breast milk. It contains essential GOS (galactooligosaccharides) to promote a healthy gut microbiome and support your baby’s natural defenses. The key difference from the PRE stage is the addition of mild organic starch, which makes the formula slightly thicker and more filling for babies with a bigger appetite, while remaining exceptionally gentle on the stomach. The follow-on formula is HiPP 2 PUR.

PREPARATION
1. IMPORTANT: Only use the scoop provided in the box.
2. Clean and Sterilize everything (bottle, nipple and ring)
3. Use freshly boiled water only
4. Cool water to optimal mixing temperature at or below 122°F / 50°C
5. Add desired amount of water to bottle using the volumes in the feeding table below.
6. Add one unpacked scoop of formula for every of water.
7. Shake well until dissolved and no lumps remain
8. Cool to drinking temperature at or below 98.6°F / 37°C

Care Instructions
1. Expiration date is indicated on each box in the European format DD/MM/YY
2. Store formula powder in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate
3. Keep airtight and use within 3 weeks
4. Only use the scoop provided. Do not mix with anything else (such as other milk)
5. Use the bottle of prepared formula within 1 hour
6. If refrigerated, a prepared bottle of formula should be used within 2-12 hours

Is HiPP 1 PUR suitable for newborns from birth?
Yes, HiPP 1 PUR is an infant formula designed to be used from birth onwards. It can be used as your baby’s sole source of nutrition if they are not being breastfed, or as a supplement to breastfeeding (top-up feeding).
What is the difference between HiPP PRE PUR and HiPP 1 PUR?
While both stages are suitable from birth and use lactose as the only carbohydrate, the main difference lies in their nutritional composition to match a growing baby's needs. HiPP 1 PUR is slightly more energy-dense and contains a modified balance of minerals and vitamins compared to the PRE stage, making it a "step up" while remaining exceptionally gentle on the stomach.
Does HiPP 1 PUR contain organic starch?
No. Unlike many other "Stage 1" formulas that add starch for thickness, the HiPP PUR line remains starch-free. It uses only organic lactose as the carbohydrate source, which ensures a consistency and digestibility that is very similar to breast milk.
Why is HiPP 1 PUR considered "Palm Oil Free"?
Most standard formulas use palm oil to achieve the necessary palmitic acid levels found in breast milk. HiPP 1 PUR achieves this naturally by using organic whole milk fat. This allows the formula to be completely palm oil-free, which can lead to better calcium absorption and prevents the formation of hard stools (constipation).
Can I switch from HiPP PRE PUR to HiPP 1 PUR at any time?
Yes, you can transition to Stage 1 at any time. Many parents choose to start with PRE for the first few weeks and switch to Stage 1 when they feel their baby needs a slightly more substantial feeding. Since both are starch-free and based on organic whole milk fat, the transition is usually very smooth for the baby’s digestive system.
