Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions below
Does Kendamil Ready-to-Feed contain the same "Whole Milk" benefits as the powder?
Yes. Unlike many competitors whose RTF versions swap high-quality fats for cheaper alternatives, Kendamil RTF maintains its signature whole milk base. This means your baby still receives the natural MFGM (Milk Fat Globule Membrane) and HMOs found in the powdered version. The liquid format is simply a pre-homogenized, commercially sterile version of the same industry-leading recipe, providing the same "golden" nutritional profile without the need for mixing.
Is Kendamil RTF the only Palm Oil-Free liquid formula?
Kendamil is one of the very few brands globally to offer a Palm Oil-Free RTF option. Most North American liquid formulas use palm olein, which can react with calcium in the gut to cause "soap stones" (hard stools). By using whole milk fats and a specialized liquid vegetable oil blend, Kendamil RTF ensures that even "on-the-go" feedings are gentle on the stomach and support optimal calcium absorption.
Does the Kendamil RTF bottle use BPA-free materials?
Yes. Kendamil RTF is packaged in high-quality, BPA-free, and 100% recyclable plastic bottles. These bottles are designed to protect the delicate Algal DHA (Omega-3) from light and oxygen degradation. Furthermore, Kendamil is committed to a Low Carbon Footprint, and these lightweight bottles are more fuel-efficient to transport than glass, supporting the brand's sustainability mission from the Lake District to your doorstep.
Can Kendamil RTF be stored at room temperature?
Unopened Kendamil RTF bottles can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place. They are commercially sterile and vacuum-sealed, making them perfect for travel or emergency kits. However, once the seal is broken, any remaining formula must be refrigerated immediately and used within 24 hours. If your baby drinks directly from the bottle, any leftover formula must be discarded after one hour due to the introduction of bacteria from the baby's saliva.
Why is the DHA in Kendamil RTF better than other brands?
Kendamil RTF uses marine algae as its source of DHA (Omega-3), whereas most RTF brands use fish oil. This provides two major advantages: First, it is a pure, toxin-free source of brain-building fats. Second, it eliminates the "fishy" smell and taste often found in liquid formulas. This makes Kendamil RTF the gold standard for "vegetarian-friendly" households and for infants who are particularly sensitive to the taste and smell of their milk.
