This collection brings together every Kendamil cow milk formula we carry. Kendamil Organic (Bio Nature) uses EU organic whole milk from grass-fed cows and comes in Stage 1 (0–6 months), Stage 2 (6–12 months) and Stage 3 (12+ months). Kendamil Classic (Premium), the EU version of Kendamil UK Classic, adds Stage 4 for toddlers 24 months and older. Stage 1 formulas are whey-dominant, similar to breast milk, and later stages contain more casein for fuller feeds. Kendamil Comfort (0–12 months), with partially hydrolyzed protein and reduced lactose, is designed for babies with colic, constipation or digestive discomfort.

What is the difference between Kendamil Classic and Kendamil Organic Cow Formula?

 

Both share the same core recipe: whole British milk, no palm oil and algae-sourced DHA. Kendamil Organic uses EU-certified organic ingredients from grass-fed cows and includes prebiotics and naturally occurring 3'-GL. Kendamil Classic (Premium) uses conventional ingredients, includes GOS prebiotics, is usually more budget-friendly, and extends to Stage 4 for children 24+ months. Both are nutritionally complete.

Why does Kendamil use "Whole Milk" instead of "Skim Milk"?

 

Most infant formulas use skimmed milk as a base and add vegetable oils for fat. Kendamil uses whole milk, which naturally contains milk fat and the milk fat globule membrane (MFGM), a layer of fats and proteins also found in breast milk that’s being studied for its role in development. Whole milk also gives Kendamil its creamy taste and golden color, and means the recipe relies less on added vegetable oils.

Is Kendamil Cow Formula "Palm Oil Free" and "Soy Free"?

 

Yes. Kendamil cow formulas are made without palm oil and without soy. Instead of palm oil, Kendamil uses whole milk fats and other vegetable oils. Some studies suggest the palm oil used in many formulas can form “calcium soaps” in a baby’s gut, which may lead to firmer stools and lower calcium absorption. That’s one reason many parents look for palm-oil-free formulas.

What are HMOs, and why does Kendamil Cow Formula include them?

 

HMOs (human milk oligosaccharides) are complex carbohydrates found in breast milk that help feed beneficial gut bacteria. Kendamil highlights 3'-GL (galactosyllactose), an oligosaccharide that occurs naturally in its whole milk. Kendamil’s Organic product descriptions list HMOs alongside prebiotics. Why is the DHA in Kendamil sourced from Algae instead of Fish?

 

DHA (omega-3) is required in all EU infant formulas because of its role in normal brain and visual development. Many formulas use fish oil for DHA. Kendamil uses marine algae, which is why its formulas are approved by the Vegetarian Society and have a clean, non-fishy smell. Algae-based DHA is also a sustainable choice that doesn’t rely on fish stocks.
