HiPP Bio Goat Stage PRE
HiPP Bio Goat Stage PRE Infant Formula (0-6 months)
HiPP Goat Milk Formula Stage PRE is HiPP's premium organic, goat-milk based infant formula designed for newborns up to 6 months. Many parents choose goat's milk formula for their babies as goat's milk is proven to be gentler on tummies compared to cow's milk. Goat milk naturally contains the A2 milk protein, which is easier to digest than A1 milk protein typically found in Cow's milk.
This HiPP goat formula is designed for infants to serve as their primary nutritional source or in addition to breastfeeding. It also incorporates essential probiotics and prebiotics that support your baby's digestive system development. HiPP line of Goat-milk formulas are skim-milk based and entirely starch-free. Lactose is the main carbohydrate source, making this formula very similar in composition to breastmilk. The follow-on formula is HiPP Goat Stage 2. HiPP Dutch Goat formula Stage 1 is also an alternative, and the composition is identical. Holle Goat Formula is another alternative that is extremely well-known and loved worldwide.
It's all about milk protein

Frequently Asked Questions
Find the answers to our most asked questions right here.
What age is HiPP pre for?
HiPP PRE formula is designed for infants from birth up to 6 months of age. It is often recommended for newborns due to its closer resemblance to breast milk and is suitable for both healthy infants and those with specific dietary needs, such as premature babies. This formula is lactose-based and does not contain starch, making it easier to digest for young infants.
Is goats milk formula closest to breastmilk?
Goat milk formula is often considered closer to breast milk compared to cow milk formula due to several key factors. First, goat milk contains a higher proportion of beta-casein protein, which is more similar to the protein found in breast milk, making it easier for infants to digest. Additionally, goat milk has naturally higher levels of prebiotics and oligosaccharides, which support gut health and mimic some of the beneficial effects of human milk. Studies suggest that infants fed goat milk formula may experience similar growth and nutritional status as those fed breast milk or cow milk formula, with better tolerance and digestion reported. Overall, while it does not completely replicate all the benefits of breast milk, goat milk formula offers a nutritious alternative that many parents find suitable for their babies, especially those with sensitivities to cow's milk.
Is goat milk formula good for acid reflux in babies?
Goat milk formula can be beneficial for babies with acid reflux due to its easier digestibility compared to cow's milk formula. The proteins in goat milk, particularly A2 beta-casein, create softer curds in the stomach, which may help reduce the likelihood of reflux symptoms. Many parents have reported success in alleviating their baby's reflux issues after switching to goat milk formulas, such as Holle, which are known for being gentle on the digestive system. Additionally, goat milk is naturally rich in prebiotics that support gut health, further aiding digestion. However, individual responses can vary, so it's advisable to consult with a pediatrician before making any changes to your baby's diet.
Why is goat milk formula better?
Goat milk formula is often considered better for infants due to its enhanced digestibility, lower allergenic potential, and nutritional benefits. It predominantly contains A2 beta-casein proteins, which are easier for babies to digest compared to the A1 proteins found in cow's milk, potentially reducing digestive discomfort like gas and constipation. Additionally, goat milk has naturally higher levels of oligosaccharides, which act as prebiotics to support gut health and promote a balanced microbiome. The formula also provides essential nutrients such as calcium, potassium, and vitamins A and D, contributing to overall growth and immune function. Furthermore, goat milk's unique fatty acid composition aids in easier digestion. However, it is important to note that goat milk formula is not suitable for infants with cow's milk protein allergies, as the proteins are similar. Always consult with a pediatrician before introducing any new formula to ensure it meets your baby's specific dietary needs. Is goat formula easier for babies to digest?
Yes, goat milk formula is generally considered easier for babies to digest compared to cow's milk formula. This is attributed to several factors: goat milk has smaller fat globules and forms softer curds, which facilitate easier digestion and reduce strain on an infant's developing digestive system. Additionally, goat milk predominantly contains A2 beta-casein protein, which is associated with fewer digestive issues than the A1 protein found in most cow's milk. Studies indicate that the protein digestion kinetics of goat milk formula are more similar to those of human breast milk, potentially leading to better nutrient absorption and less gastrointestinal discomfort, such as gas or colic, in some infants. However, it's essential for parents to consult with a pediatrician before introducing goat milk formula to ensure it meets their baby's specific nutritional needs.
