HIPP HYPOALLERGENIC (HA) FORMULA

Technically, HiPP HA cannot carry the official EU Organic seal because the protein hydrolyzation process (breaking down the milk proteins) is considered a "technical" intervention under EU organic law. However, HiPP uses the exact same organic-quality base ingredients—such as lactose and vegetable oils from certified organic farms—as their standard lines. It is essentially an "organic-quality" formula designed for medical needs, maintaining HiPP’s rigorous standards for being GMO-free and free from synthetic chemicals.

The biggest difference is the Carbohydrate Source and Taste. Many US hypoallergenic brands use corn syrup solids or maltodextrin as their primary carb to avoid lactose, which can result in a bitter, metallic taste. HiPP HA uses Organic Lactose, which mirrors the natural sweetness of breast milk and supports gut health.
