HiPP Dutch Goat Stage 1
HiPP Dutch Goat Stage 1 Infant Formula (0-6 months)
HiPP Dutch Goat Stage 1 is HiPP's premium line of organic, goat milk formula designed for newborns up to 6 months. Many parents choose HiPP goat milk formula for their babies as goat's milk is proven to be gentler on tummies compared to cow's milk. Goat milk naturally contains the A2 milk protein, which is easier to digest than A1 milk protein typically found in Cow's milk. Breastmilk also primarily contains A2 milk protein.
This HiPP dutch goat formula is designed for infants to serve as their primary nutritional source or in addition to breastfeeding. It also incorporates essential probiotics and prebiotics that support your baby's digestive system development. HiPP's line of Goat milk formulas are skim-milk based and entirely starch-free. Lactose is the main carbohydrate source, making this formula very similar in composition to breastmilk. The follow-on formula is HiPP Dutch Goat Stage 2. HiPP German Goat formula is also an alternative, and the composition is identical. Holle Goat Formula is another alternative that is extremely well-known and loved worldwide.
It's all about milk protein

Frequently Asked Questions
Find the answers to our most asked questions right here.
Which HiPP formula is better, Dutch or German?
When comparing HiPP Dutch and HiPP German formulas, the main differences lie in their ingredient composition and packaging. HiPP Dutch is known for being starch-free, making it gentler on sensitive stomachs, while HiPP German formulas often contain added starch, which provides a thicker consistency that some babies may find more filling. Both versions are made from organic ingredients and include essential nutrients like DHA, prebiotics, and probiotics to support infant development. Additionally, HiPP Dutch is packaged in larger tins (900g) compared to the smaller pouches (600g) used for HiPP German. Ultimately, the choice between the two may depend on your baby's specific needs and preferences regarding digestion and fullness. Does HiPP Dutch have probiotics?
Yes, HiPP Dutch formula contains probiotics. Specifically, it includes lactic acid cultures that are naturally found in breast milk, which help support a healthy gut microbiome and aid in digestion. These probiotics are beneficial for infants, particularly during the early stages of life when their digestive systems are still developing. The presence of probiotics in HiPP Dutch formula contributes to smoother digestion and can enhance immune support, making it a suitable choice for babies with sensitive stomachs. Does HiPP Dutch have enough iron?
HiPP Dutch formulas generally provide adequate iron levels for infants. For example, HiPP Dutch Stage 1 contains about 0.5 mg of iron per 100 ml, while Stage 2 offers approximately 1 mg of iron per 100 calories. These amounts align with the nutritional guidelines set by the European Union, which recommend sufficient iron to help prevent deficiency during the early months of life. However, it's important to note that individual needs may vary, and parents should consult with a pediatrician to ensure their baby is receiving adequate iron based on their specific dietary context and health requirements.
What age is HiPP stage 1 for?
HiPP Stage 1 formula is suitable for infants from birth to 6 months of age. It serves as a complete nutrition source or can supplement breastfeeding during this early developmental stage
Is goat formula easier for babies to digest?
Goat milk formula is generally easier for babies to digest due to its unique protein and fat structure. The proteins form smaller, softer curds in the stomach, similar to breast milk, and contain predominantly A2 beta-casein protein, which can cause fewer digestive issues compared to cow milk formula. Smaller fat globules and protein digestion kinetics more closely resembling human milk contribute to better digestibility. While many babies tolerate goat milk formula well, especially those with cow milk sensitivities, individual responses vary. Parents should always consult their pediatrician before switching formulas to ensure it meets their baby's specific nutritional needs.
